It's a pretty raggedy trail up and over Leavitt Peak. The volcanics in the area break into angular chunks.
The feeder dikes in the cirque were awesomely obvious cutting across the many layers of volcanic flows of the Relief Peak formation.
Snow way! This was all that remained at 10,600' in mid June. In good snow years there should still be multiple feet of snow at this location.
